"The fact of doing fieldwork is that arranging, conducting, and transcribing interviews is a time and labor-intensive process full of unexpected turns and setbacks. Working with the team greatly accelerated and expanded the kinds of interviews I could do and the amount of material I could get transcribed. Furthermore, the fact they are engaged with the community and with research projects of their own means that it's an opportunity for collaboration."
Derek Sheridan, Assistant Researcher at Academia Sinica, Taiwan

"Many people see the finished research and celebrate it, but much more happens behind the scenes. I am extremely grateful for the support I received from Alliance, including securing permits from different levels of the government, transcribing the data, and analyzing and collaboration on the theoretical contributions of the study."
Prof. M. Yunus Rafiq, New York University Shanghai
